Description

Charles Quincy Goodhue (1835-1910) was a Portland marble cutter who spent his retirement years drawing the Portland of his youth.

This image is entitled "Samuel Freeman's House, 1798." Freeman was a civic leader in Portland who died in 1831. The house was on Middle Street.
