Description

The William Fogg library was opened as the public library of Eliot in 1907. Made possible with the land and funds donated by Dr. John S.H. Fogg, a former resident of Eliot. When the library opened it contained almost six thousand volumes, including Dr. Fogg’s collection of rare historical books and the collection of the Eliot Library Association, the oldest library association in Maine.
