Description

Pankratiasts (The Wrestlers) is a marble sculpture at the Brewer Public Library.

It is considered to be a masterpiece of the Greek Realist School. The original (sculptor unknown) is in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy.

This reproduction was sculpted by Signor Antonio Frilli from whom it was bought by John F. Hodgkins, SJ. It is 15 inches high and 16 inches long. Antonio Frilli began selling art reproductions from his Florence, Italy Gallery in 1860.
