School #9 in West Brooklin, together with group of pupils and teacher.
In 1921, the teacher was Miss Gaynell Missouri Bridges.
For light, there was only daylight. "On dark days you couldn't see the blackboards on the other side of the room. All the windows were on one side and on the back...on the other side of the room...were blackboards. If you were sitting by the window, you couldn't see what was on the blackboard!"
