This woven basket was made in Lovell by Albra Lord.
Albra Lord made baskets from brown ash, pounding the strips of wood until the growth rings separated.
His baskets became well known in the area, and he once turned down an offer from a Detroit hotel for 40 baskets, saying he could sell all the baskets he made locally for $1.25 each.
