Liverpool pitcher, ca. 1798

Description

Given to John Thorlo who captained the packet Portland and carried Boundary diplomats between St. Andrews and Portland. The pitcher was created in England at the Herculaneum Pottery. The pictures are Masonic transfer prints, handpainted. The words below the ship are, "Succes to the Portland Packet, Capt. John Thorlo."
