Dr. Greenleaf Wilber home, Skowhegan

Description

This was the home of Dr. Greenleaf Wilber who practiced medicine in Skowhegan for nearly 40 years between the late 1850s and the mid 1880s.

In 1862, Dr. Wilber left his practice to become a surgeon for the Union Army during the American Civil War. The house is located on High Street, diagonally across from the Superior Courthouse.
