Description

Capt. Actor Patterson of Kennebunkport wrote to his daughter, Mary, a student at Bradford Academy in Massachusetts, asking her how much her bills and passage home will cost so he can send her money.

He hoped she liked the school and would return the next term. He wanted her to attend for three terms.

He also reported the death of Mrs. Lydia A. Lord, wife of Daniel W. Lord. Mary's sister Lydia Patterson later married Daniel Lord.
