Farmington State Normal School men's basketball team, 1923

Contributed by Mantor Library at UMF

Description

Coached by Errol L. Dearborn, the 1923-1924 men’s basketball team played local town and high school teams, as collegiate competition was not yet established in the state.

The yearbook noted these “Normal boys who are all good sports play chiefly for their own amusement” since spectator interest seemed to be limited. However, this team was one of the first to have Farmington State Normal School uniforms.
