Longfellow Mixture Candy Box, ca. 1900

Description

Longfellow candy was produced by Smith & Bros., which was located on Congress Street in Portland, Maine. Many products took the name "Longfellow" after the Portland native and author, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882) to give the impression of something of high quality.
