Description

Hiram Wilson wrote from a steamer in Detroit to Elizabeth Mountfort of the Portland Anti-Slavery Society praising her on her work on behalf of slaves and discussing his own work to aid fugitive slaves. He ran a mission in Canada for fugitive slaves.
