Betsey H. Carsley request for information on brothers, Saco, 1889

Description

Betsey H. Carsley of Saco wrote to Zebulon King Harmon, a lawyer and pensions agent in Portland, seeking information about her brothers Nathaniel Frost Bishop and William W. Bishop, both of whom served in the Civil War. She had not heard of them since the war.

She wrote that she was a poor and sick widow and hoped there might be property of theirs to help her.
