Staffing
The Maine Memory Network is staffed by a full-time Director, a full-time Project Historian, a part-time Content Producer, a full-time Outreach Coordinator, two part-time Outreach Consultants (one in Presque Isle, and one on Mount Desert Island) and a part-time Project Cataloger.
Programming and web design are outsourced to vendors. At any given time, there are four to ten interns and volunteers scanning documents and transcribing manuscripts.
At the Maine Historical Society, the Maine Memory Network is its own department responsible for all MHS websites and multimedia and digital image production. The MMN Department works closely with the Education Department to develop educational content and tools for teachers.
